Privacy

Who is responsible. Alessandro Sdino is the controller of this site. You can reach me at the email address at the bottom of this page.
Cookies. The site itself sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts,
trackers, or ads. Cloudflare, which hosts it, may set
strictly necessary security cookies
(such as __cf_bm) when it needs to tell people from bots. They are not used
for statistics.
What is counted. To know how many people read it, the site keeps daily totals: how many times each page was viewed, the name of the website a visit came from (for example linkedin.com), and the country of the visit as reported by the host. No IP address, identifier, or device fingerprint is stored, so the totals cannot be linked to anyone. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in knowing the site’s readership (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The totals are kept for as long as the site exists.
Hosting. Cloudflare, Inc. serves the site and processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It acts as my processor under its Data Processing Addendum, may process data in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and keeps its logs as described in its privacy policy.
Email. If you write to me, I use your address and message only to correspond with you.
Your rights. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection (Arts. 15 to 21 GDPR): write to me to exercise them. The stored totals cannot be linked to you, so for them there is nothing to retrieve or erase. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
